The International Chess Cup Moscow Open 2020 will be held in Moscow from January 24th (the first day of arrival) to February 4th (the day of departure) 2020 in The Russian State Social University (RSSU). Those wishing to play in the Moscow Open Chess Cup tournaments will need to fill out the registration form on the tournament website and pay the tournament fee. The registration is open now.
The Cup consists of eight separate tournaments.
A. Russian Cup stage among men
B. Russian Cup stage among women
C. Tournament among Amateurs
D. Tournament among Veterans
E. Chess Problems Solving tournament – The Memorial of A.P. Pochinok
F. National Student Chess League Cup
G. Rapid Chess Cup among Blind and Visually Impaired
H. Tournament among School Champions –The Memorial of O.A. Zhuravskiy
The total prize fund for the Cup – 4 500 000 rub.
The time control of all classical tournaments: 90 minutes for the whole game with an increment of 30 seconds per move from the first. The participants must keep the record of moves till the end of the game.
Accommodation for all foreigners organized in the hotels: «Tourist», «Baikal» and «Cosmos». It’s walking distance from the tournament hall.
By tradition, the additional program of the Chess Cup will include: Blitz Chess tournaments, FIDE seminars for international arbiters, FIDE seminars for arbiters, Lectures by Grandmasters, Advanced training courses, International conference "Chess in the education system, in sports and in leisure activities".
