The final decisive round of the RSSU Cup Moscow Open 2020 will take place on Sunday, February 2. The games will start at 11am Moscow time. You can follow the games live. The duels will be commented by the Grandmasters Alexander Kalinin and Maria Fominikh.
In one of the tournaments of the festival the winner was determined ahead of time. The first prize in the competition among women was taken by Iulija Osmak one round before the finish. The Ukrainian chess player won eight games in a row and became unreachable by the competitors.
The second and third places are shared by Anastasia Bodnaruk (Saint Petersburg) and Baira Kovanova (Saratov region), both with 6,5 points.
The prizes are also claimed by Anna Afonasieva (Kaluga region), Mariya Yakimova (Republic of Tatarstan), Anna Kochukova and Daria Voit (both from Moscow) and Margarita Potapova (Krasnodar region) – 6 points each.
It is not easy at all to predict the winner of the National Cup stage among men of Moscow Open 2020. Before the last game day six chess players at once show the best results – they are Daniiil Lintchevski (Leningrad region), Zhamsaran Tsydypov (Republic of Buratia), Sergei Lobanov (Saint Petersburg), José Eduardo Martinez (Peru), Manuel Petrosyan (Armenia) and Aleksei Pridorozhni (Tyumen region), all with 6,5 points.
We would like to note that the award ceremony for the winners and prize holders will be take place on February 2 in the Hall of the Main RSSU building and will begin at 5pm.
