Iulija Osmak is showing a great result at the National Cup stage of Moscow Open 2020. The representative of the Ukrainian national team already has 7 victories in a row in her asset. In another round she beat Elena Semenova (Salekhard).

Anna Afonasieva (Obninsk) is one point behind the leader, and in the eighth round she is to meet the Ukrainian chess player.

Anastasia Bodnaruk (Saint Petersburg), Marina Guseva (Moscow region), Margarita Shepetkova (Moscow region), Daria Voit (Moscow) and Margarita Potapova (Republic of Crimea) obtained 5,5 points.

The National Cup stage among men has three leaders – Daniil Lintchevski (Leningrad region), Zhamsaran Tsydypov (Buriatia) and Manuel Petrosyan (Armenia), all with 6 points out of 7.

In another round Lintchevski and Trsydypov made a draw with José Eduardo Martinez and Boris Grachev respectively, and Petrosyan beat Ramil Faizrakhmanov (Tatarstan).

Ten participants are following the leaders with 5,5 points; they are Sergey Lobanov (Saint Petersburg), Gor Airapetian (Lipetsk), Boris Grachev, Klementy Sychev (both from Moscow), José Eduardo Martinez (Peru), Alexander Triapishko (Crimea), Egor Bykov (Stavropol region), Sergey Volkov (Saransk) and Vitaliy Kunin (Germany).

The names of the tournament winner will be announced on Sunday, February 2.
