After five rounds of the National Cup stages of Moscow Open 2020 only one of the participants was able to keep a clean score. A representative from Ukrainian national team Iulija Osmak obtained five points in the tournament among women. In the latest round she beat Ekaterina Nasyrova (Republic of Tatarstan).

A runner-up in this round is Anastasia Bodnaruk (Saint Petersburg) with 4,5 points. Eleven chess players got 4 points each.

Five sportsmen are showing the best results in the men’s tournament - Zhamsaran Tsydypov  (The Republic of Buriatia), Daniil Lintchevski (Leningrad region), Egor Bykov (Stavropol region), José Eduardo Martinez (Peru) and Klementy Sychev (Moscow). All have 4,5 points.

Twenty players are behind the leaders by half a point.

It is to be noted that both tournaments have passed an equator and soon will be approaching the final straight. The results of the competition will be announced on February 2.
